“The Last of the Bluebonnets” It’s hard to believe that this year’s bluebonnet season is nearly over and that we are a week into May. And, there are only two weeks left in this semester. Where has the time gone? Oh yeah, it has gone to lesson plans and grading papers and attending rehearsals and recitals and taking pictures. Though it has been a good semester, I am ready for a break. The bluebonnets in this picture are just about…
“Peace in the Park” I love the peacefulness of this path which meanders through our city’s rose garden. I really like the simplicity of this image.
“A Few Of My Favorite Things” Because orange is my favorite color, I had lots of possibilities for today’s picture. It was hard to decide which direction to go. I finally decided to go with an image of several of my favorite things – the color orange, oranges and yarn with which to knit.
“Eye of the Beloved”
“Seeing Lens to Lens” Apparently May is eye health month. The CY365 team has decided to gear many of this month’s photography prompts toward our eyes. “The Price of Marriage” We are going to England this summer. Though we have been married almost three years, I have yet to change my name on my passport. Now that I need it sooner rather than later, I’m afraid not to pay for the expedited service. That turned out to be a pricey endeavor.
“Pedals” Today’s prompt was intended to help consider shooting from different vantage points. The prompt, on the floor, meant I was on the floor. The problem with shooting anything around here that involves the floor is that dog and cat hair will dominate the picture no matter how recently I have swept or vacuumed. I struggled with something interesting for this one. I finally settled on the pedals on the piano, an often overlooked feature of the piano. Before I…
“Saturday in the Park” Getting a little fresh air during a family picnic in the park this afternoon. We also had quite a bit of fresh food. I have more pictures to post, but I am too tired to do it tonight; hopefully I can get it done tomorrow. For now, here is one more . . .doesn’t everyone go on a picnic so that they can sit in the park and do the NY Times crossword puzzle? “Picnic Puzzle”
